I have recently changed the outlook of this blog.
Shinerama at UC has become very dear to me,
but I have come to the realization that
we can grow within the University of Toronto even more!

In January, I was thrilled to receive the news that I had been choosen as a
National Campaign Advisor (it’s a big deal!!), where I’ll be assisting
Campaign Directors across the country in running successful campaigns.

I am super excited for my role, but I have decided to start a little closer to home.
The University of Toronto is an extremely large school, and when we come
together we can make a difference just as large.

In the past UC, SMC and PHE/KIN have all participated in Shinerama.
If we can get the other colleges, faculties and campuses on board
not only will we be promoting a united University, school spirit but
STRENGTHEN the fight against Cystic Fibrosis.

Shinerama Bottle Drive

I was looking for something in my basement
when I came across my father’s collection of bottles for return.
It got me thinking, a simple task for Shinerama.

Bottle drive is born! I will even come pick them up from you!
(within reasonable distance of course of Toronto area)

It’s easy for most of us to go over to Starbucks and get our caffeine fix.
Or to treat ourselves to a lunch out plus dessert once in a while.
In addition, a lot of us pay a phone bill of $50 plus a month.

Shinerama at UofT has always been a UC thing, with maybe a few other colleges participating from time to time. I’d love to see it become a campus wide thing.

Along with reaching my dream goal this year of $14 000, I would love to expand Shinerama across the UofT campus so one day it isn’t a UC thing anymore but a UofT thing. It’s going to start with small steps.

I took these small steps this weekend, and I am super excited.
I will update on this project when progress occurs.

Taylor Swift Tickets

Last November, I was lucky enough to get my hands on a pair of Taylor Swift tickets for her eventual sold out show in Toronto this July for her Speak Now World Tour.

Unfortunately, I am now unable to attend and am looking to sell these tickets. These tickets are selling online for over $300 a pair. I could easily make a profit but I have a different idea.

I am selling these tickets at the price I bought them for. The pair of tickets cost me $236.75. This is for 2 tickets - Section: 310 Row: 6 Seats: 11 & 12 for the Friday, July 15 show.

For the price of $235.00 plus a donation toward my Shinerama campaign this pair of tickets can be yours.
